Clothing
Clothing of all sizes and seasonal needs is available at your local Benefit Office.
Non-emergency dental care
Volunteer dentists and other dental professionals volunteer their services through NSWA’s non-emergency dental benefit. Other volunteers donate transportation and other needed follow-up determined by the professional. Volunteer dental professionals also provide group presentations on health topics of interest to the members.
Preventive Medical Care
Volunteer doctors and other medical professionals donate their services through NSWA’s preventive medical benefit to see members for free-of-charge medical check-ups in their offices and present medical education and information sessions on medical topics like diabetes.
LEGAL BENEFIT
“Know Your Law” sessions conducted by volunteer attorneys present information about legal topics of interest to low-income workers as requested by NSWA members. Legal advice is provided to a requesting member privately in legal advice sessions with a volunteer attorney accompanied by a volunteer lay advocate to assist with the next steps of the attorney’s advice.

The Northwest Seasonal Worker contains news and organizational events, programs, needs and issues of concern to members.
BENEFIT PLAN II
Benefit Plan II addresses the discrepancy between members’ incomes and necessary expenditures. Federal budget guidelines say a family should not spend more than 33% of their income on housing. Many families end up spending 60-80% of their income on rent due to low wages and high housing costs, leaving almost nothing for other basic necessities. NSWA volunteers can work with you on a self-help budget plan designed to work at addressing longer-term budget problems.
